Series Summary

The first chapter of the New Testament does not start with the manger in Bethlehem, but with the genealogy of Jesus. Surprisingly, Matthew specifically included both women and those with sinful reputations – people who typically wouldn’t be mentioned in a genealogy at that time, especially if you were trying to prove that Jesus had divine origins. Perhaps God did this to remind us how big of a problem sin is, and how clear it is that Jesus needed to come to save us.
